Bachelor of Arts is one of the courses which are not marketable in Kenya unless you supplement it with another course. In case you are admitted to study this program, you won’t be known as an expert of anything—it’s a general course. However, even if it’s not marketable, there are things you can do to become more marketable.
Don’t worry after being admitted for the course. Here is what to do.
Pursue PhD
Pursue masters and PhD to get a place in the university as a lecturer. This way, you will become marketable.
Pursue a marketable professional course
Apart from pursuing Bachelor of Arts, combine with a professional course which is marketable. You can pursue CFA, ACCA, CFE or CIA. CPA is also another good course to study.
Score first class
Score a first class and get a scholarship for a marketable masters course. If possible, look for admission in Europe.
With a first class, you can also apply for graduate trainee/management trainee jobs. These jobs are for people who are bright in school.
Learn extra skill
You can also learn extra skill that’s marketable. Learn coding, web design, content creation and video editing. You can use these skills to secure online jobs.
Become a content creator
Create a YouTube channel while in college and become a content creator. YouTube can easily make you a millionaire. To create one is free.
Just study, you will deal with consequences later
Don’t kill yourself, just study and graduate. In the job market, there are millions of other jobless Kenyans, others studied good courses. Join them and hustle together. After graduation, you can start a business and become a successful entrepreneur.
