Private pilot License
Course Highlights:

Admission Requirements
- Age Requirement: 16+ years to start your aviation journey.
- Academic Excellence: KCSE grade C+ (minimum) with C+ in Mathematics, English, Geography and a science subject.
- Medical Fitness: Obtain a medical fitness certificate from an accredited Aviation Medical Examiner.
- Required Documents: Copies of academic papers, ID, birth certificate, or passport.
- Passport Photos: 6 photos (3 standard size, 3 sized 2cm x 2.5cm).
- Evaluation Tests: Internal written tests in Mathematics, English, and Psychometric Testing.
- Flight Assessment: 5 lessons to evaluate flight readiness.
- Good Conduct: Provide a certificate of good conduct.

Airline Transport Pilot License
The Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) course at Kenya School of Flying is designed to broaden the knowledge of pilots holding a commercial pilot license and prepare them for the complexities of the airline environment. Our comprehensive curriculum is divided into two main segments: Ground School and Flight Training Training (Both Simulator and Flight)
Requirements for Issue of an ATPL
An applicant for an Airline Transport Pilot License shall —
- Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Have a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Hold a valid and current Commercial Pilot License and an Instrument Rating.
- Pass a type rating exam if not rated on the aircraft category and class rating sought.
- Meet the required hours of this sub-part before applying for the practical test.
- Pass the required practical test for the specific aircraft type to be endorsed on the license.

The Minimum Entry Qualifications to be admitted for the Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering at
KSOF is:
1.Academic Requirements: A mean grade of C plain, in:
i) Mathematics,
ii) Physics or Physical Science, and,
iii) English.
- Duration: 3 years, full-time program.
- Curriculum Focus:
- Aerodynamics: Master the principles of flight and aircraft design.
- Airframe Structures: Gain insight into the physical framework of aircraft.
- Piston Engines: Delve into engine systems and maintenance techniques.
- Practical Training: Hands-on experience in state-of-the-art workshops.
- Additional Requirements:
a) Medical Fitness: A Class I Medical Certificate from a KCAA approved medical examiner.
B) Aptitude Test Entrance Exam (ATEE): Both written and practical exams that applicants
must successfully pass.
c) Medical Insurance: A valid medical insurance cover is mandatory
