KPA is among the best paying government parastatals in Kenya. It offers Kenyans opportunities for fresh graduates to work as interns. If you get lucky to secure an job at the institution, you are likely to earn a decent salary. Interns are employed for a period of not exceeding 1 year. During the internship period, you are paid Ksh 30,000 to Ksh 40,000 per month. The salary is taxable, meaning that you will be paying tax, Housing Levy, NHIF and NSSF.Net pay will be Ksh 25,000 to Ksh 32,000.
In one year, your accumulated salary is Ksh 300,000 and above.
Upon completion of your internship, the institution will either absorbed you or end your contract.KPA employs 100 to 200 interns and at least 20 of them are retained as permanent employees. One thing that will help you is work smart and hard at the same time. While working as an intern, ensure that you build connections, meet the boss’ deadlines and also ensure everyone around you is happy. Be a person who can be trusted even by the boss.
In case you are confirmed after internship is over, you will earn a starting salary of Ksh 120,000 to Ksh 140,000 per month. There are also many allowances paid to all employees.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To qualify, an applicant must:
- Be a Kenyan citizen not over the age of 34 years.
- Be an unemployed graduate from a recognized training institution who has completed a degree/diploma/ certificate course and has not been exposed to any work experience related to their area of study since grad-uation.
- Not have benefited from a similar internship program.
- Not have retired or exited from formal employment.
