Kemri Internship Requirements and Salary

Kemri is one of the best paying companies in Kenya for interns. The monthly salary is Ksh 25,000. After tax and other deductions, you will take home at least Ksh 18,000 monthly.

The company mostly recruits graduates with Applied Statistics, Computer Science and Mathematics degrees. They prefer first class or at least second class upper division.

Below are requirements and salaries for internship positions for 2024:

CGHR TB Research Division is seeking to recruit Interns in the below mentioned fields: –

1. Research -2 positions

BSc. Biomedical Science and Technology, Biological Sciences/ Medical Laboratory Science

2. Data – 8 Positions
   • Information Communication Technology, Computer Science, Computer Studies, Mathematics or Statistics

Location: Kisumu

In addition, the applicants must:

1. Be a Kenyan youth below 30 years of age
2. Should have graduated and obtained the relevant final degree certificate
3. Provide a Certificate of good conduct

Terms of Engagement:

Appointment in the Internship program will be for a period of one (1) year non-renewable and is subject to availability of funds.

Please Note:

1. A modest stipend of Ksh. 25,000 will be provided which may not be sufficient and therefore the successful candidates will need to cater for their own transport, accommodation and upkeep during this period.

1. Successful candidates will be expected to take up a personal accident cover and medical Insurance cover lasting through the internship period.

• KEMRI WILL NOT offer employment after the completion of internship.

1. MUST be fluent in English and Kiswahili

CGHR-FHU Division is seeking to recruit young, dynamic, self-driven, inquisitive Diploma and Bachelor’s degree holders for their Research Centres located in Kisumu and Siaya.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized Institution (3 Positions)
2. Diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized Institution (3 Positions)
3. Must be registered with Kenya Nutritionist and dietician’s institute (KNDI) and in possession of a valid practicing license

In addition, the applicants must: –

1. Be a Kenyan youth below 30 years of age;
2. Have graduated and in possession of the above-mentioned certificates;
3. Attach a Copy of Identify Card (ID card);
4. Provide a Certificate of good conduct; and
5. Should have not undertaken any other internship or exposed to workplace experience related to their study area of study since graduating.
