We managed to visit the company and ask a few guys who work there. One of them identified himself as John, he joined the company in 2019 as a graduate trainee. He informed us that his starting salary was Ksh 75,000 by then. He was put into training for 1 year. Thereafter, the salary rose to Ksh 110,000. After 5 years working for BAT, he is now earning Ksh 220,000 per month.
John informs us that currently, the company pays graduate trainees Ksh 80,000 to Ksh 90,000 during training. After training, the salary rises to Ksh 120,000.
We also got informed by another employee that BAT pays bonuses on top of the monthly salaries. The bonuses are equivalent to one’s monthly salary. For instance, if one earns Ksh 120,000 per month, he gets a bonus of Ksh 120,000 per year.
