Below we are going to list the best paying real estate companies, some paying sales executives more than Ksh 100,000.
Knight Frank Kenya
Knight Frank is the best paying real estate company. The company deals with residential property and real estate products in general. If you are recruited as a fresh graduate, the company will pay you Ksh 50,000 plus commissions. The good thing is that you don’t struggle to earn commissions, they are easily earned since it’s a reputable company. This means that as a graduate trainee, your starting salary will be as high as Ksh 90,000.
Sales executives take home Ksh 80,000 to Ksh 150,000 per month while Sales Manager is paid Ksh 300,000 plus commissions.
We also looked at the salary of an accountant at Knight Frank Kenya. Junior Accountant takes home Ksh 75,000 to Ksh 90,000 while Finance Manager earns Ksh 300,000 to Ksh 450,000 per month.
Property Manager with at least 5 years of experience earns Ksh 250,000 to Ksh 300,000.
There are over 10 drivers and most of them earn Ksh 35,000 to Ksh 40,000 monthly.
Centum Real Estate
Centum pays good salary. They employ fresh graduates from college and pay them Ksh 120,000 to Ksh 150,000 per month after training. The CEO of Centum is one of the highest paid CEOS in Kenya with a monthly salary of Ksh 5 million to Ksh 10 million.
Managers at Centum earn Ksh 350,000 to Ksh 400,000 per month plus annual bonuses.
If you are currently studying your undergraduate course, make sure that you score first class or second class upper, then pursue ACCA, CFA or Actuarial professional courses. Apply for an opportunity at Centum. The salary you will earn at Centum, few institutions can pay you that.
PAM Golding
Another stable real estate company to work for is PAM Golding. The company has been operating in Kenya for 40 years. Their work is to manage property, buying and selling homes. They usually hire sales executives and property managers. Sales Executives with 1-3 years of professional experience earn Ksh 40,000 plus commissions. If you get a job here without experience, they will pay you Ksh 20,000 plus commission. But their commissions are good such that you don’t mind the salary they pay you.
Accountant makes Ksh 80,000 to Ksh 100,000. Sales Manager takes home Ksh 120,000 to Ksh 150,000.
A cleaner at PAM Golding is paid Ksh 18,000 to Ksh 25,000 while drivers earn Ksh 30,000 to Ksh 45,000 per month.
HasConsult Real Estate
I met one of the ladies working at HassConsult, she was selling property. During our discussion, I raised the question of salary. She confided on me that she has worked for the company for 3 years and currently she is paid Ksh 75,000 per month. She holds a degree in Real Estate from the University of Nairobi. When she was recruited, her starting salary was Ksh 40,000. It has been increasing annually. She told me that managers earn the best salary. That you can get a manager with MBA and more than 10 years of experience making over Ksh 400,000 monthly.
Someone can sell a property worth millions which earns him Ksh over Ksh 500,000 as a commission.
Though she complains that there is so much work in the company, she is satisfied with her salary and the work environment.
Username properties
Username properties buys and sells land. They mostly employ sales executives who are paid a retainer and commissions. The amount you earn depends on the number of plots you sell. But since Username has a good name, selling their plots is easy. You will make an average of Ksh 60,000 monthly in commissions. If you add the retainer, you will be taking home Ksh 70,000 to Ksh 100,000 per month. But sometimes the commissions can be low and you find yourself earning below Ksh 40,000.
Comfort Homes
Majority of employees at Comfort Homes do sales jobs where they earn commissions. I have had several opportunities to interact with some of their workers. There was a time I was looking for a plot in Kitengela and they carried me to where the plots are sold. During our interactions, I asked a few of them about the salaries they earn. Of course at first they were hesitant but eventually they opened up. One of them told me he was recruited with a salary of Ksh 25,000 plus commission basis. He told me it’s hard for someone to get paid salary without being told to do sales. Most of the salaries come from sales. The one earning a retainer of Ksh 25,000 told me in a good month, he can make Ksh 200,000 and in a bad month, her salary can be as low as Ksh 35,000. It depends on the number of sales she makes.
Optiven
Optiven is a stable real estate company. This is not a bad company in terms of employment. In case you are looking for a job in Kenya, Optiven should be one of your choices. Receptionists are paid Ksh 25,000 to Ksh 40,000. Sales executives make Ksh 40,000 to Ksh 80,000 per month. As I said before, the amount you will earn depends on the sales you make. Very few real estates will pay you full salary without engaging you in sales.
Llyod Masika
Llyod Masika has been operating in Kenya since 1979. Working for the company means that you will be working for a stable company. The average monthly pay for sales executives is Ksh 45,000. Their managers earn Ksh 90,000 to Ksh 120,000 monthly. A receptionist is paid Ksh 35,000 per month.
